Capgemini Analyst (fresher) — 30 minutes on Superset, and a GenAI project that carried it

Background

The whole thing happened on the Superset platform and wrapped up in about 25–30 minutes — quick as these things go, but it still covered a good amount of ground.

Round-by-round

Introduction

I kept it tight, 50–60 seconds: academics plus a couple of things I was proud of outside coursework.

HR territory

Strengths and weaknesses — I backed both with actual examples instead of listing traits. A self-rating on teamwork, and a decision-making question that asked me to walk through a real situation rather than theorise about one.

Technical

Java first, then core OOP — Inheritance and Polymorphism specifically.

Project discussion

The most interesting part. The conversation turned to a personal project I'd built involving Generative AI, and I could tell it genuinely worked in my favour — it gave the interview more depth than rehearsed answers, and I think it's part of why things went the way they did.

Verdict

Selected — Analyst role, 4.25 LPA (4 LPA base + 25K bonus).
