Software Engineer (Fresher)

This came through a campus drive at my college. The application itself required filling in personal details and uploading documents carefully, and the general eligibility bar was 60%+ in both 10th and 12th.
90 MCQs covering aptitude — logical, arithmetic and verbal reasoning — along with two coding snippets where I had to fill in missing logic rather than write something from scratch (reversing a number, counting characters in a string).
Conducted online, and despite the name it didn't feel like a debate-style GD — it was much more about gauging communication and confidence. The interviewer asked fairly personal questions: a self-introduction, questions about hobbies. I answered honestly here, since follow-ups tend to expose anything exaggerated pretty quickly.
Two separate one-on-one rounds. Both stayed close to my resume — my projects, along with Java, C, SQL, DBMS and Operating Systems concepts. I made sure I could speak to every detail of my projects in depth, since that's where most of the questioning concentrated.
Document verification, plus a conversation about my flexibility with shift timings and work location, and a few basic questions about the company. I stayed flexible and positive throughout.
Selected.
